Hi Everybody,

Just picked up my 2013 Citigo today and am looking to buy a PID. I notice that a lot of the advertisements have the statement below in the description.

Only for use with PR no. combination: 7UE+77G

Is this something that I should worry about or will any Seat,VW,Skoda PID fit my car?

Also what does this mean?

My wife picked up her new Citigo 5dr SE L ASG in red today, and after a few little hitches (the manual/auto thingy),she loves it (phew!).

She's used to a traditional Toyota auto box so I wondered how she might get on.

I think she's more bothered about getting her music and radio stations sorted than anything else, but at least she's happy :sun:

Garmin PID issues

Ive recently encountered an issue with my Garmin-model PID.

A few days ago, it stopped "booting up" when connected to the car - the skoda logo was shown and the little dots would constantly move in the bottom right corner, but it would never get any further.

I did a Factory reset, using the Garmin Fresh tool (took about an hour) - the device is now at the "connect device to car and switch the ignition on"

After connecting back to the car, that screen will not disappear.

Has anyone else encountered this or is it time for a trip to the dealer?

Sad to say goodbye...

So after just three short months I shall be saying goodbye to my wonderful Citigo Sport. I had planned to keep it longer but a Jag convertible that I had been after for a long time came up last week and "little un" has to go!

I spent a long time finding my Sport and travelled 400 miles to buy it. Overall it has been a fantastic little fun car and far exceeded expectations.

I am sure that once I am fed up with the running costs of the Jag I will be back in the fold.......

I shall be really sad to see it go...

Au Revoir...for now

Remap

Been a while since I posted, but I had my Citigo remapped by Celtic Tuning a few months ago, and it was the best money I've spent on the car.

It - with the induction kit - has made a huge difference to response and pull. It pulls smoothly through the rev range, and is putting out 83lb/ft now (rather than the stock 70lb/ft).

The biggest difference I noticed was the top range of the revs, waaaay more response and pull their. It appears to have done something to the revs for each gear (I used to hit 6k bang on, for 60mph in second gear. Now 6k bang on takes me to about 65). The car's initial pull away is very strong, and I was recently on a drive up Duke's Pass, and it surprised a few people driving significantly more powerful cars!

Nothing else has really been done to the car recently, however. But I would genuinely recommend the remap - especially if you're running a non-stock airbox.

As an aside, the Duke's Pass let me test the Citigo's handling properly. Never been on such a windy road. I've got to say, it handles astonishingly for an entry level car. It never once felt uncontrolled, and it could fly into corners significantly faster than my friend's in their 3series, and Fiesta S1600's! Fantastic handling car.

I'm not trying to pretend that the remap has somehow made my car a hot-hatch, but it certainly has a real grunt behind it now, for a light wee car.

Hi there

I recently bought a Skoda Citigo with the "Move & Fun" navigation system, and ive looked in the manual and searched Google but cant seems to find an answer anywhere to my question, so i thought i would try and ask on this forum.

My question is, what is the maximum size (GB) of the MicroSD Card supported by that system?

We bought our car last June brand new. Today we got the roadtax form for payment before end of April. If the car was taxed in June the road tax should be due end of June.

I had a pheasant run into the road in front of me today with me doing about 70 with a volvo 2" from my rear bumper unfortunatly for him he didnt look both ways, unfortunatly for me he broke the lower grill.

With a very quick google search they seem quite cheap (£30), although i'm planning on asking the dealer how much they are.

Has anybody changed this? any tips?, i havent had chance to look at it today as it was hoofing it down for most of the day.

Citigo stop/start economy

Anyone any idea on how long the engine needs to be off using the stop/start system to make up for the extra fuel used to start the engine again? Is it always better even if just for a few seconds? Or does the engine need to be stopped for 10 seconds/15 seconds etc to make it worthwhile. I. E. How much fuel does it use when you restart the car from after its cut out using the stop/start system and compare that to how much fuel is used when stopped and idling?

Hope that makes sense, just something I was pondering on after stopping at a lot of consecutive traffic lights the other day and each time the stop start system kicked in sometimes just for a few seconds before setting off again and i was just wondering how economical that really was?

Cheers

Plugged it in this morning and its gone daft, not working properly;it's only a week old.

I suspect it needs rebooting? How do I do this please? Can it be done while plugged in or best not plugged in?

Also does it matter if it's removed during the countdown shut off thing that it does?

Hi

Just bought a Citigo Colour edition...charged the PID, plugged it onto car, put key in, screen of PID says 'insert key into ignition' then nothing else happens. It has stayed like that for at least half an hour, tried it four times and it remains the same. Any ideas????

Having just acquired some sport decals (don't ask) it turns out I've stumbled upon the part number as well for the decal, as far as I'm aware this is so far a not very known part number, so for future reference for anyone who made need one:

First post here so be gentle... :D

I currently run a Polo 1.2Tsi, but due to circumstances I'm thinking of downsizing to a CitiGo. Actually I'm not that bothered whether it's a CitiGo, Up! or Mii. The Polo has had more issues than I would have liked so I thought I'd ask here if there are major issues, faults or foibles that I should look out for before parting with any money.

Basically, what's good what's bad and all the little niggles in between.  Is the 60ps or 75ps the better choice??

Cheers.

Dashboard colour/trim?

It appears that the trim/colour of the dashboard comes in various finishes dependent on model.

Can this trim colour be easily changed at a later date. I quite like the textured finish, the shinny black not so much. Or is it a major component and so costly/complex to swap?
